Review
I found
Wikipatterns to be an excellent introduction to the subject. The author is a competitor of the TWiki software. Stewart Mader has a lot to say on the topic of wikis and especially how to get them adopted in sophisticated business organizations. The author has quite a lot of experience with how wikis are adopted and used by companies and he is passionate about their success. Mr. Mader has often been a wiki champion. In this book you will find answers to these questions (and more):
- What is a wiki and how does a business wiki differ from Wikipedia?
- How do I make a case for using a wiki?
- What is the best way to get started?
- How do wikis change an organization's culture?
- What are the patterns of use and behavior that affect the wiki?
Wikipatterns is presented in 7 chapters and an appendix of questions and answers. Each chapter has a sub section where a case study is presented. The chapter titles don't really describe the content of each chapter.
