Welcome, TWikiGuest!

Welcome to WikiOraApps! This is a TWiki site (pronounced twee-kee site), a meeting place to work on common interests about the Oracle E-Business Suite of Applications. The site is powered by the software from www.TWiki.org. Anyone can contribute using any web browser. WikiOraApps looks like a normal web site... except that it encourages contribution and editing of pages, questions, answers, comments and updates.

Screen Shot "Wiki" systems are fundamentally editable web pages. It's a fun and useful way of collaborating and communicating over the web for many users and administrators of the Oracle Applications. TWiki software is simple to learn and use. It aims to provide a transparent way for you to publish and exchange your ideas with others over the web. If you would like to learn more about TWiki software visit TWiki.org. It is great stuff!

What's in a TWiki?

  • Webs: A TWiki site is divided into webs; each one represents an area for collaboration. This site has the following webs: Main, Sandbox, TWiki. The Main is where all the topics about Oracle Applications are kept. The Sandbox Web is useful for experimenting with pages where you want to try out a new command.
  • Topics: Each web is made up of hyper linked topics that appear in your browser.
  • Collaborators: There are lots of other people working together to set up and use the Oracle Applications.
  • Search: Powerful search engines let you scan topic titles and the text of topical essays for the information you need.

Some Things To Do

  • Browse. This is a site like other sites. Read and follow interesting links.
  • Register. Establish your account at TWikiRegistration to take advantage of member features.
  • Write. Speak your mind! From your browser you can change or add to anything you see in a TWiki topic. Use regular text or WikiSyntax.
  • Learn more. Some good places to start: SomeBasics
  • Experiment. Edit your personal pages or visit the Sandbox web.

When you register, your first personal page is created with your registration name as the topic title. From that page, you may create your own collaboration work space consisting of a personal home page, an author's tool kit, resume, and pages you are authoring. Editing your own topics is a great way to practice editing and changing pages for new users.
