Things to Try if the Form Won't Cooperate

  • If the form insists that a field must be entered, try to clear the record or the form with F6 and F8. Then try to close the window or the form using Ctrl F4 or F4. If you get a message prompting to Discard Changes; do so.
  • If you are stuck in a flexfield or Find window, try clearing with F5.
  • If you are trying to escape a flexfield or LOV, try the cancel button or Esc.
  • If a menu or navigator does not respond, try F4 to cancel query mode.
  • If a folder does not return data from the database, use the menu choice Folder >> Reset Query
  • If a message box says "Exit Oracle Applications", use Esc or the cancel button to stay logged in.
