Q: Where can I find the meaning of bug codes that are being used by Oracle Support / Development in one of my Service Requests?

Answer: https://metalink.oracle.com/help/usaeng/Bugs/bug.html is a link to a page on MetaLink where all of the bug status codes are described. Common codes include the following:

  • 10 Bug Description Phase indicates that not all information has been collected.
  • 11 This code indicates the bug is ready for Oracle Development or to indicate that a status 30 has been resolved.
  • 12 User group review is used to send an enhancement request to a user group.
  • 13 Indicates a documentation bug or request for documentation enhancement
  • 20 Used to request more information from the bug filer.
  • 30 More info is requested from the bug filer.
  • 31 Development could not reproduce the issue. Return to filer.
  • 32 Not a bug.
  • 33 Development work has been suspended pending information requested from filer.
  • 40 Waiting on another bug to be fixed.
  • 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 83, 84, 90, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, and 99 Indicate the bug is closed for various reasons.
