Oracle iAssets Introduction

For those users without access to the professional interface, Oracle iAssets provides the functionality to enter the transfer information and approval information for the transfer of an asset.

Oracle iAssets Setup Steps

The following section lists all the setup tasks for a Oracle iAssets implementation and . The table below shows the tasks to set up the Oracle iAssets Application, a brief description each of the task, and the order the task should be performed. Try not to skip tasks or perform them out of sequence because many tasks use predecessor tasks for data validation, and error messages may occur.

Transfering Assets

The transfer process in iAssets is as follows:

  1. Create a transfer request by entering the details of a transfer
  2. If the approval type requires an approver, release the details and update the approver
  3. Enter the destination details information (i.e. new location, expense account, employee, approver)
  4. Run the Post Asset Transfer Requests concurrent program
In addition the iAssets Manager responsibility can set the status of requests to Post, On Review, Rejected, or On Hold.
