Using Oracle General Ledger Introduction

Oracle General Ledger is one component of the Oracle Financial Applications which makes up the e-Business Suite of business applications. Oracle e-Business Suite products have been engineered to work together. Oracle General Ledger performs the accounting and budgeting functions. Oracle General Ledger is the central module of Oracle Applications because the general ledger set of books forms the basis for all other financial modules. Processing efficiency has been improved by streamlining journal and accounting processes through Subledger Accounting functionality. The Oracle Financial Implementation is normally completed in conjunction with other application implementations. ( Financial Implementation Guide) Oracle has created the Accounting Setup Manager to facilitate the accounting-related setup across all financial applications.
