Transaction Description

Use the Bonus Depreciation Rules window to tell the system about any bonus depreciation. A bonus rule can have a different rate for each year of an asset's life, and the rate can be modified at any time for the current year and future years. If the "One Time Depreciation" check box is checked, the rule is limited to one year. The bonus rate is applied to the cost or net book value (NBV) by depreciation calculation after the depreciation method calculates the basis.

Bonus Depreciation Expense = Depreciable Basis * Bonus Rate

ALERT! You need to ensure that the rates and factors are correct for your taxing authority. Oracle Assets does not validate what you enter here.
