Transaction Description
Quick Codes are often used to populate lists of values throughout the system. The quick codes data structure allows many dissimilar codes to be defined in one place for use in many places (lists, reports, and so forth).
Quick Codes that are defined in the assets application include the following:
- Asset Description - used to standardize asset descriptions.
- Journal Entries - new Journal Entry values cannot be created. However, descriptions can be changed.
- Queue Name - used to create or describe queues hold queues for Mass Additions. Because the system recognizes these queues, DELETE, ON HOLD, and POST cannot be changed.
- Property Type - used to establish codes such as PERSONAL, REAL, or RESIDENTIAL to describe property.
- Retirement - used to describe types of retirements.
- Asset Category - used to describe and validate major asset categories when the system is configured to use table-based validation of asset categories.
- Asset Subcategory - describes asset subcategories when using table-based validation of asset categories.
- Unplanned Depreciation Type - enter values in addition to UNPLANNED DEPRN to describe different types of unplanned depreciation adjustments.
- Lease Frequency - the possible values for Lease Compounding Frequency are: Monthly, Quarterly, Semi-Annually, and Annually. While existing Lease Frequency values cannot be changed, descriptions can be modified.
- Lease Payment Type - enter additional lease payment types.
