Transaction Description
Use the Periodic Production window to manually enter production unit amounts and dates for assets depreciating under the units of production method.

This type of production method is used only in the corporate book(s).
There are several restrictions on which dates can be used. The start date and end date must fall within a single depreciation period in the assets calendar. When there are multiple entries for the same asset, date ranges cannot overlap. Finally, the date must be after the asset's date placed in service, and the dates cannot be for periods prior to the current open period in the corporate book. Entries can be made for future periods and updated when the future becomes the current period.
Production for construction in progress assets cannot be entered until they are capitalized.

For significant quantities of entries, consider using the production interface.
