Transaction Description

Use the Capitalize CIP Assets window to place construction in progress assets into service. This form can handle one or many assets in a transaction. Capitalizing CIP assets is a transaction that can be reversed. The form looks for assets that have been created using manual or mass additions with a type of CIP. You can then select which assets to capitalize with the date placed in service from the header field.

To reverse a capitalization, query on an asset number and type = CAPITALIZED. Select the assets you want to return to CIP status and choose the Reverse button.

ALERT! Reverse is only available in the same period as capitalized and only if no transactions have been performed on the asset while it was in the CAPITALIZED state.
